History
Employment Projects of Winnipeg Inc. started in July 1977 under the project name of Women's Employment Counselling Service. In 1983 the organization was incorporated and registered as a non-profit organization directed by a volunteer Board of Directors comprised of community members from various sectors. The organization provides a wide range of services and programs sensitive to the needs of both immigrant and Canadian born clients.
In 1999 Employment Projects of Winnipeg explored options to be more inclusive and reflective of client needs as a result of the diversity of clients seeking services. The name Employment Projects of Winnipeg Inc. (EPW Inc.) was launched to start the millennium.
